Each year in springtime all along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Shenandoah and the Great Smoky Mountains National Parks, nature reawakens from her long winter sleep of winter with a dazzling array of intensely colorful budding wildflowers. Rainbows of mountain laurel, azaleas and rhododendrons are set like jewels on the misty mountainsides. The forest floor is carpeted with white stars. Music by composer Jed Distler accompanies this half-hour video. 30 minutes long.
